Just when you think everything is good, shit goes up in flames. Some good people lost their home last week, but luckily no one was home.
This incident really put a lot into perspective for me. The thought of losing everything sucks. Some people would say to keep your belongings to bare essentials and focus on non-material things, but what I took from this incident was more, "Love the things you own and do as much as you can to prevent bad stuff from happening."
So people, here's a lesson4life: Buy Insurance and keep your receipts. Fire is ruthless, but beautiful at the same time. It can take all your things, but it can also kickstart something new. And kiss your loved ones every night.
