Packard's X Marshall Brewing

Last night, the weather got shitty, and the gods started crying. That didn't stop Linda and I from going to Packard's Beer Dinner. When we arrived, we were greeted and seated and immediately began with the Marshall Sundown Wheat. [slideshow]

Dusty of Marshall Brewing began educating us on the beers as they came out with each course. 5 Courses of food by Chef Mitchell Dunzy and 6 rounds of beer. Mitchell talked about his food, but didn't need to say much. It definitely spoke for itself. His flavor palate is pretty dang good because he paired these meals perfectly. The same will go for me. I won't say much about the food or drink either because my hope is that the photos make your mouth water and you'll go try it for yourself.

First up: Marshall Old Pavilion Pilsner paired with Scallop Pork Belly over Mizuma Pilsner & Lemon Confit

2nd Course: Marshall Revival Red Ale & Revival Red Ale Onion Soup

3rd Course: Marshall Pub Ale with Country Fried Rabbit Saddle with Pub Ale Gravy & Parsnip Puree

I will say, this was my first time having rabbit. I've always heard good things, and Mitchell did not disappoint.

4th Course: Marshall Atlas IPA with Atlas IPA Curried Lamb & Brocolini

5th Course: Marshall Big Jamoke Porter with Cannoli Filled with Big Jamoke Porter Cream

Eggsplosion: 30th Omelette Party

I was fortunate enough to receive tickets to OKCMOA's 30th Omelette Party. Boy was this fun. It felt weird being one of the youngest people there, but hey, at $100 bucks a ticket, I totally understand why.

There were so many different food vendors there. On top of that, there was an open bar. HEAVEN.

Eggs on eggs on eggs. I limited myself to one 24mm lens. This forced me to get all up in people's personal space. Normally, shooting wide is a pain to me, but I learned to appreciate the beauty in getting closer.

There were a lot of characters out. One lady even talked politics with me. I was curious, so I let her humor me. My friend and I ate and drank so much, I've still got a buzz writing this. Please excuse the poor writing.

So much food and unlimited drinks. Well worth it, if you're a party animal. Music was good and environment was fun.

There's Always PLENTY

Last week, I was invited to shoot the preview party for the Plenty Rooftop. However, it being Oklahoma, snow forced the Plenty Peeps to relocate to the home of one of the owners. There is no line between what is theirs and what is PLENTY's. That's how you know they love what they sell. [slideshow]
